Inside L&H: A Shop Tour of Gillette, Wyoming

This is where it started.

Gillette, Wyoming is home to L&H Industrial’s flagship headquarters and 135,000 square feet of manufacturing and repair capacity that has anchored our growth for over 60 years.

Inside L&H takes you onto the Gillette floor for the first time on camera in over a decade. A lot has changed. The scale is different. The equipment is different. And the capabilities we can offer customers today are a direct result of the investment we’ve made here.

ADVANCED CNC MACHINING

Our machining floor is built to handle the biggest, most complex components for critical industries. The Okuma Double Column Machining Center handles workpieces up to 21 feet long at 95,000 lbs of table load. Our Deckel Maho 5-axis machining center bring precision multi-axis capability to components that demand it. Our Tacchi CNC Horizontal Lathe handles diameters up to 118 inches and lengths up to 32 feet with C-axis milling and boring built in.

LARGE-SCALE FABRICATION

With 170-ton crane capacity and massive under-roof workspace, the largest fabrications stay under crane from start to finish. Our 9-axis robotic welder runs up to 40 lbs per hour deposition rate, automated bore welding reaches 120 inches, and our CNC pattern torch cutting table handles plates up to 40 feet by 14 feet.

From precision CNC machining and large-scale fabrication to mechanical repair, assembly, and full testing and analysis, the Gillette facility is built to handle a job from start to finish without sending it anywhere else. That’s not an accident. It’s how L&H has operated for 60 years, and it’s the standard every facility in our network is built to.
