At L&H Industrial, progress requires intention. That is why our Core 15 leadership team recently gathered in Tempe, Arizona for our annual “Iron Sharpens Iron” retreat.
The purpose of the retreat was not to step away from responsibility, but to step into focused alignment. Leaders from across the company came together to evaluate performance, challenge assumptions, and sharpen strategy for the year ahead. When leaders commit to honest dialogue and shared accountability, stronger decisions follow.

Throughout the retreat, structured leadership sessions centered on building culture, growing sales, increasing profitability, and executing on company priorities. These conversations were direct and forward looking. Every initiative discussed was tied back to measurable impact and the responsibility we carry to our employees and customers.

In addition to strategic planning, the team participated in mental fitness training led by our Honestly Better Mental Fitness Coach, Travis Ramsey. Leadership requires more than technical expertise. It requires resilience, discipline, and the ability to remain steady under pressure and investing in mental fitness strengthens how we communicate, solve problems, and lead through challenge.
Time spent touring L&H’s Tempe, AZ manufacturing facility and engaging outside the conference room reinforced the importance of connection across roles and locations. Strong relationships remove friction, accelerate execution, and help ensure that when we commit to a goal, we get across the finish line together.
The Iron Sharpens Iron theme reflects our belief that growth comes through constructive challenge and shared purpose. By investing in alignment, leadership development, and strategic clarity, our team returns sharper, more unified, and better equipped to lead L&H forward.

“The Iron Sharpens Iron leadership retreat is our commitment to one another and to the future of L&H. We come together to sharpen our leadership, align around our mission, vision, and values, and strengthen the trust and accountability that create true team flow. We invest in people and vision with the same discipline we invest in facilities and equipment, because aligned leaders execute critical work with clarity and confidence. When we are connected in purpose and moving together, we build a future of excellence that leads our industries, strengthens our communities, and carries L&H into the future with strength and purpose.”
