Revitalizing a Legacy Crusher for Increased Throughput
An Oklahoma dolomitic limestone quarry, responsible for 3 million tons of throughput yearly, found itself in a bind with a 42-70 gyratory crusher nearing catastrophic failure. This gyratory crusher, vital to all downstream operations, showed repeating signs of wear and fatigue, from oil leaks to wear component failures. With output dwindling, downtime increasing, and heightened safety risks for maintenance teams, a comprehensive solution was imperative. L&H Industrial stepped up, working shoulder-to-shoulder with onsite teams devising a meticulous plan to overhaul the primary crusher, from rebuilding key components to supplying new parts. Post-revival, the crusher’s daily throughput soared from 650 tons to a whopping 2,400 tons—proving our expertise.
