The 2017 Exponor in Antofagasta, Chile drew mining professionals from around the world with over 40,000 attendees and more than 1,000 exhibiting companies from 30 countries. The event included 5 days of exhibitions, hundreds of technical talks, networking events and mine site tours. The largest mining event in South America and held in the epicenter of the world’s leading copper producing region. The Convention is a biennial event where the mining industry comes together to network, and share ideas about the newest technologies and best practices in the industry.
L&H spotlighted the newest designs and upgrades for their Omega undercarriage, including the 495 final drive modification for electric rope shovels. Additionally, Jose Vargas, Engineering Manager for L&H Chile was selected to present in the event’s technical session on “495 shovel upgrades” by L&H Industrial. Pablo Velasquez, with L&H Chile commented,
“We had a successful show including meetings with many of our customers, an informational technical session and a great exhibit illustrating our shovel undercarriage offerings. We look forward to seeing everyone again at the next show.”
The next Exponor will take place again in 2019 and L&H will again present some of the newest innovations for the mining industry.
