Founded in 1964, L&H Industrial has gone from small welding shop in Gillette, to global partner of mining and heavy industries. We’re honored to celebrate our 50th anniversary and a few milestones that have made our journey possible.
L&H Welding and Machine founded as an oil field repair company by Leon Wandler in Gillette, Wyoming. Six employees.
1964
L&H begins doing coal mine repair work and shifts its focus to serving the local coal markets
Late 1970
L&H moves into its current corporate headquarters
1982
Lee Wandler assumes leadership of company
1995
L&H welding shop expands to 30,000 square feet
1996
L&H begins rebuilding and manufacturing railroad equipment
1997
L&H begins infusing more technology into its manufacturing and engineering processes by incorporating the use of CNC machines
1998
L&H shifts its focus to safety and quality

Tucson, Arizona office opens

L&H Welding and Machine changes name to L&H Industrial, Inc.

L&H and Vamco Steel & Engineering (PTY) jointly purchase Pylon Gears, South Africa

First shovel rebuild
